How TicketScout collects, uses, and protects your information

Last updated: July 2026

1. Who we are

TicketScout is a ticket price comparison service operating at ticketscout.co.uk. We are the data controller for any personal data processed in connection with your use of this website.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or wish to exercise your rights, you can contact us via the details on our website.

2. What data we collect

TicketScout does not require you to create an account, submit a form, or provide any personal information to use the site. However, like most websites, we and our infrastructure providers may passively collect limited technical data when you visit, including:

  • Your IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent on the site
  • Referring website (how you arrived at TicketScout)

This data is collected automatically by Cloudflare, which provides our website hosting and security infrastructure. We do not separately store or process this data ourselves.

3. How and why we use your data

The technical data described above is used for the following purposes:

  • Site security and performance — Cloudflare uses IP and traffic data to protect the site from malicious activity and ensure reliable performance.
  • Analytics — aggregate, anonymised usage data may be used to understand how visitors use TicketScout and to improve the service.

Our lawful basis for this processing is legitimate interests — specifically, our interest in operating a secure, functional, and improving website. We have assessed that this interest is not overridden by your rights and freedoms, given the limited and non-sensitive nature of the data involved.

4. Cookies and affiliate tracking

TicketScout itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies on your device. However, when you click through to a ticket seller via a link on TicketScout, that seller's website — and the affiliate network that powers our commercial relationship with them — may set cookies on your device.

These affiliate tracking cookies allow the seller's affiliate network to identify that your visit originated from TicketScout. This is how we earn a commission when you make a purchase. The affiliate networks we work with include:

  • Awin (awin.com)
  • Impact (impact.com)
  • Partnerize (partnerize.com)

Each of these networks operates under its own privacy policy. Once you leave TicketScout, the seller's and network's cookie and privacy policies apply. We recommend reviewing them before completing a purchase.

Cloudflare may also set functional cookies necessary for site security and performance. These do not track you for advertising purposes.

5. Sharing your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. The only third parties who may receive data connected to your visit to TicketScout are:

  • Cloudflare — our hosting and infrastructure provider, who processes traffic data as part of delivering the site to you.
  • Affiliate networks — as described in section 4 above, when you click through to a seller. This is initiated by your own action in clicking a link.

6. Links to third-party sites

TicketScout contains links to external ticket seller websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Once you leave TicketScout, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit before providing personal information or making a purchase.

7. Data retention

TicketScout does not directly store personal data about visitors. Any technical data held by Cloudflare is retained in accordance with Cloudflare's own data retention policies. You can find more information at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • Right of access — to request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — to request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure — to request deletion of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to restrict processing — to request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Right to object — to object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Right to data portability — to receive your data in a portable format where applicable.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us via our website. We will respond within one month as required by law.

9. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, we encourage you to contact us in the first instance so we can try to resolve it. Under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, you have the right to raise a complaint directly with us before escalating to a regulatory body.

If you remain unsatisfied, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top. We encourage you to check this page periodically. Continued use of TicketScout after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with this policy are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
